Apple develops Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for Macs with M1
Take a look at our status of the best Mac for video editing .
This
article was initially published by Mikael Markander at Macworld Sweden.
Coinciding with the introduction of the new Mac computers
with the M1 Apple Silicon chip , Apple has updated the versions of its
professional video and audio editing programs in a way that optimizes them to
be more efficient in this new architecture.
These are the well-known Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro , without the suffix of the X, with which Apple intends that the new Mac mini, MacBook Air SMO and MacBook Pro based on the new architecture, can run the software at higher speeds.
Although on the Apple website, we continue to find both
products with the tag of the 'X', in the App Store it already appears with the
new version.
Final Cut Pro , at a price of € 329.99, allows you to
create, edit, produce high-quality video, as well as combine different
recording formats to process and apply advanced tools in project development.
In the latest versions improvements have been added to work
processes with new ProRes RAW camera settings such as ISO, color temperature,
or exposure shift.
For its part, the other software that has been adapted for
use on computers with an M1 chip is Logic Pro , which offers a wide range of
professional tools for creating and composing music with an initial cost of €
229.99.
We see how little by
little, Apple intends to adapt the software libraries to the new architecture.
Those already mentioned are now followed by updates to Motion, compressor and
mainStage.
If you want to be able to test the efficiency of these programs, here we tell you how you can get Final Cut and Logic Pro free for a limited period of time (according to the specific offers launched by Apple).
